Here Is My Video Review Of The Diamond Tri-Band Antenna:

Emergency communication is a must for anyone who wants to be prepared for any situation that arises. When it comes to SHTF communication, nothing beats the flexibility of Ham radio. The possibilities and options are almost endless when it comes to the Amateur Radio operator. One thing rings true when it comes to preparedness communication is that without a good antenna, you are basically useless when it comes to maximizing options.

For the past 2 years I have been using the Diamond SRH320A as my main antenna when portable. It allows me to reach all of the local stations that I currently monitor & would need to monitor in the case of an emergency: (local & county repeaters, local & county OEM, Police & Fire scanning, etc.) Being able to reach all of these frequencies and stations with the Diamond antenna outdoors was reason enough for me to make it my primary portable whip. But the fact that I was able to reach all of local & county frequencies from inside my home was what solidified my choice with this diamond antenna.

*UPDATE* 02/27/2016
I went out on a hike and used the Diamond SRH320A to operate my APRS setup. Take a look at this screenshot from APRS.FI to see it reach a digital repeater quite a distance away.
