Here Is My Video Review On The Multi-Tool:
I’m generally not a fan of gadgets for the sake of gadgets. However, if I find that the gadgets are actually useful… Then I’m usually prompted to take a closer look.
I have been testing a multi-tool tactical pen. My first inclination was to take a close look at what the primary application(s) of this multi-tool was. Since it is billed as a tactical pen, I delved deeper into its capabilities for that application. I noticed that it was constructed from aircraft grade aluminum, wrote well as a ball point pen, fit nicely in the hand and had a tungsten tip on the business end.
So it passed my initial test as far as being a good tactical pen. It was now time to take a close look at the other features contained in this multi-tool to see if they were actually beneficial or just extra junk.
This multi-tool features:
- Writing Utensil
- Flashlight
- Glass Breaker/ Skull Crusher
- Flat Head Screwdriver
- Bottle Opener
- Scraper
- Hex Key
After testing each component I found that I wouldn’t consider these “additional tools” for primary applications. But… They certainly were a welcomed addition for a bit or redundancy in my kit. In a pinch, this multi-tool can back up its claims by performing the tasks that it was designed to do.
Bottom Line:
If you are in the market for a tactical pen that offers quite a few useful additions, take a look at this multi-tool from The Atomic Bear. It functions well as a tactical pen and the other tools can bail you out of some sticky situations when other options have been exhausted or not available.
