Here Is My Video Review On The Off-Grid Folder:

To say that I am selective when it comes to my choices in an every day carry (EDC) folding knives… is a bit of an understatement. Various notions come into play such as:

-Where will I be carrying my folder?
-What are my destination’s laws & regulations?
-What type of climate am I in?
-What happens if my folder gets confiscated?
-What will I be wearing?
-Will my folder cause attention?
-What type of location will I mainly be operating in?

These are just some of the things that cross my mind when I need to make this crucial decision.

I live in the NJ/NYC area. The powers that be would prefer us to be completely disarmed and do what they can to try & make it that way. The laws are written & even enforced – By Design- in ways that are confusing to us law-abiding citizens. If we fail to prepare ahead of time, we may end up getting our EDC’s — confiscated and that may be the least of our problems…

Recently I received the Off-Grid Knives -Flipper Knife to review. It fit much of the criteria that I look for in an EDC, self defense tool. It was small, easily deployed & didn’t scream, “Hey, I’m a tactical knife, officer… Come take a look at me and see what else you can find!”

I joke, but how we carry ourselves has a lot to do with whether we get on the enforcers radar or not. I work with law enforcement on a weekly basis. Many of these guys are my good friends. The majority of these officers do not want to harass you. But if you give them probable cause, for whatever reason, their job is to investigate further.

If you choose to carry an EDC folder in most places overseas… The repercussions will quadruple at the very least!

Be proactive & smart… Things tend to work out much better for you.

During my review process for the Off-Grid Folder, I found a lot of features that I get from my pricey EDC folders. Would I replace my current EDC with this folder?

Absolutely Not!  –But this Off-Grid Flipper has what it takes to make it a viable choice for those “suspect” situations where confiscation may be a reality. However, I still have the confidence that it will stand up to what I demand of it in a self defense scenario.

Sure… If I get this Off-Grid Folder confiscated, it would hurt… It would just hurt a lot less than losing my other EDC’s that I spent a small fortune on. 😉

This blade would definitely be a viable backup, in suspect confiscation areas, as my EDC.
