Here Is My Video Review On The TUFF STRIKE:
I took a trip to Florida for business a couple of weeks ago. It felt great to get away from the freezing temperatures in New Jersey. However, upon my return… the reality of the cold Northeastern weather smacked me right in the face, as I exited the airport.
To make matters a bit worse, as I went to open the door to my office in the backyard, the deadbolt was frozen leaving me unable to gain access. I have most of my work equipment in that building including the tools that I needed to TRY and gain entrance to my office. I had no choice but to break into my own building.
The issue that surprised me was that I “broke in” much easier than I had been anticipating. There was very little in place preventing me from, forcefully, gaining access. I thought by just having a good deadbolt that I was protected. Unfortunately, that was just a false sense of security.
I began scouring the Internet in order to find advice as well as a solution. I came across the TUFF STRIKE and liked what I saw. The design simply made sense to me. After kicking down enough doors as a United States Marine… and while working with law enforcement around the world, I certainly gained some insight on the subject.
I contacted the company and received a reply rather quickly. I liked what I heard and decided to pick up (3) TUFF STRIKE’s. The installation was a relatively painless process. The company had an installation video available, which was really easy to follow. Here is a link to it if you are interested:

I hope that I never have to find out how well the TUFF STRIKE works. But in all honesty, I feel quite confident that it will perform much better than the striking plate that came with my expensive deadbolt.
If you are in the market for one of these fortified striking plates, take a look at this one by TUFF STRIKE. It’s a bit of added insurance as well as peace of mind.
