Here is my video review of the USGI Canteen Cup:

Military Issued gear isn’t always the lightest but more often than not, it’s the most durable. As an active duty U.S. Marine I got to test a lot of G.I. supplies and gear. At the time, testing wasn’t really the word that I would have used.. I’d say it was more like -Just Living. I have continued to use a lot of government issued gear for various reasons. One of those reasons being that I know it’s been put through it’s paces.. The Good, the Bad & the Ugly is usually a “known.”

One of those pieces of gear that I still use is my Military Issued Stainless Steel Canteen Cup. Sure, there is a bit of nostalgia involved but practicality trumps old war stories every time! This canteen cup has served me well all over the world. It has been used in scenarios from making daily coffee to heating up some local fresh ham, on a Portuguese hillside, with a couple of Portuguese Marines (Fuzileiros).

Why I Like This Canteen Cup:

  • U.S. Marines issued
  • Stainless Steel
  • Made in the U.S.A.
  • Durable
  • Lightweight .55lbs.
  • Fits my canteen
  • Tested around the world by me

If you need a canteen cup that can also be used as a small cooking pot, this may be a great option for you.
